Back in December 2024, Guangzhou played host to the 2024 Cross-Border E-Commerce Conference. Bearing the theme of “Digital-Physical Integration, Brand Going Global”, this significant event delved into the latest scenarios, emerging opportunities, and potential challenges within the realm of cross-border e-commerce. It also centered on strategies to drive the profound integration and advancement of Chinese brands on the global stage. In light of the swiftly evolving global trade dynamics, the conference zeroed in on the pivotal shift from “Made in China” to “Brand of China”. It meticulously examined the strategic positioning and orientation for cross-border e-commerce brands’ overseas expansion, probed deeply into the methodologies and routes for global market layout, and jointly spurred the international foray of cross-border e-commerce brands.
Mr. Wu Dong, the Chairman of SOHO Textile Group – which is the major stakeholder of Uwill – received an invitation to grace the conference and even took the helm of the sub-forum titled “Innovative Construction of Friendly Ecosystem Service Providers”. The participating enterprises engaged in vibrant exchanges and in-depth discussions regarding a raft of matters. These encompassed credit insurance support policies, the financing initiatives of the financial sector, the optimization of cross-border trade settlement procedures, and the promotion of high-quality development in cross-border e-commerce.
During the course of the conference, the China Service Trade Association carried out its election process and convened the first meeting of its third board of directors. Notably, Mr. Wu Dong, the Chairman of SOHO Textile Group, emerged victorious in the election and was appointed as the third executive director and supervisor of the association.
